Dungeon Catalog
Dungeon archetypes already compatible with the current Valenar docs.
Core Rule
A dungeon is a site family, not a separate top-level world ontology.
Before discovery or entry, a dungeon can surface only as a clue, Feature, or threat sign inside a Location.
Grounded Dungeon Site Archetypes
- buried ruin complexes
- corrupted lair sites
- sealed shrine interiors
- mine-depth hazard sites
- stronghold interiors
Shared Rules
- Once discovered or enterable, a dungeon becomes a Site in the Location Dossier.
- An active dungeon can be a Threat Site or a Site with linked threats.
- Combat, traversal, loot, and pressure all stay tied to the specific place.
- Site wording should stay explicit about state: wild, discovered, secured, active, owned, developed, depleted, sealed, destroyed.
- The separate combat/dungeon screen is the active raid or combat surface opened from site context, not a top-level Dungeon tab.
