Feature Catalog
Grounded feature families used across Valenar docs.
A Feature is notable generated or discovered content, sign, or fact inside a Territory. If the content becomes enterable, exploitable, or developed, it should move into the Site taxonomy.
Natural Or Geographic Features
- springs and water access
- groves or dense stands
- cliffs, chokepoints, and overlooks
- cave mouths, fissures, and unstable openings
Ruined Or Built Features
- ruin traces
- shrine clues
- watchtowers
- broken wards
- abandoned workings
Threat Or Pressure Features
- tainted ground
- ash fields
- gate scars
- ambush signs
- predator trails
- corrupted traces
Notes
Feature placement authority lives in
../generation/gd-feature-generation-contract.md.
This page catalogs the kinds of features the docs already treat as grounded.
Resource nodes, ruins, and similar Features can later convert into Sites.
When a Feature converts to a Site, the Site record carries SourceFeatureId
pointing at the originating Feature row (present on Host/Data/SiteData.cs:11).
The conversion preserves provenance and does not mutate the Feature row's
identity.
