Quest Thread - Reclamation and Crown

Identity

Reclamation and Crown is the saga-spanning Quest Thread that carries the full-arc reclamation goal across Acts 4 through 7. The lane begins in Act 4 with Banner Network-scale reclamation pressure and continues through Act 7's Crown-scale resolution of the Afterwar's consequences. Reclamation and Crown is one of the two campaign-spanning lanes that resolves only when the Saga Arc itself concludes; the other is Core and Truth.

Scope

Reclamation and Crown owns the campaign-spanning identity of the late-arc reclamation lane. It declares which world-state surfaces feed the lane and which act docs provide its per-act mission entry points.

Reclamation and Crown does NOT own:

  • Per-act mission ladders. Mission ladder authoring for this lane is deferred to later per-act content waves.
  • The reclamation pressure model itself. Reclamation rules remain owned by ../systems/gd-corruption-reclamation.md.
  • Early-arc pressure response. Pre-Act-4 pressure response belongs to the Pressure / Corruption lane.

Inputs From World Pressure

The world-state sources from ../systems/gd-dynamic-quest-pressure-model.md that primarily feed this lane:

  • Corruption and reclamation pressure — taint spread, ward state, cleansing progress, restoration windows. This lane is the primary consumer of those signals at the late-arc scale.
  • Front campaign goals — Crown-scale Front lifecycle and Campaign Goal resolution at Acts 6 and 7; the Reclaim Territory Cluster and Seal Gate Scar Campaign Goal kinds feed the lane directly.
  • Operation outcomes — ReclaimArea, CleanseSite, SealGateScar, and PushFront Operations feed the lane's progression state.
  • Site state — Site control transitions that involve reclamation (ward Sites restored, gate scars sealed, taint fields cleared).
  • Authored story gates — explicit Crown-scale reclamation arc gates.

Coexistence With Act-Scoped Thread Owners

Reclamation and Crown is a cross-act lane. It coexists with Act-scoped thread owners without subsuming them. Per-act mission entry points are provided by the act docs and by any future Act-scoped thread owners that the per-act content waves promote; the cross-act lane owner declares the campaign-spanning identity of the late-arc reclamation lane.

No current Act-scoped thread owner sits inside this lane. When later content waves promote Act 4 + reclamation-centric thread owners, they will sit beside this cross-act owner without retiring it.
